Rules: The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.

Eligibility and Entry: The regatta is open to all boats of the FJ class.  All sailors must be aged 21 or over.

Fees: Entry is $50 per team, 100% of which goes to DC Sail, a program run by the National Maritime Heritage Foundation, a non-profit promoting sailing in the District of Columbia.

Skipper bags will be provided by Mount Gay Rum and Cantina Marina.

Schedule:  Registration: September 4, 2008 – September 25, 2008

The Skipper’s meeting will be held at the Tent Barge at Gangplank Marina beginning at 12 noon.   Lunch will be served.

The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race is 2:00 PM.

Races will run no later than 6:00 pm.  They will be followed by a party on the tent barge at Gangplank Marina which will include a trophy for the overall winner, door prizes, food and drink specials, and DJ Oliver Whitney.

Venue: The regatta will be held at Gangplank Marina and sailed in the Washington Channel.

Disclaimer of Liability: Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with, or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
